Jan Yanni

Jan was raised outside of Moundsville, WV, graduated from John Marshall High School, and then from WVU. Her prom date, Tom Yanni, who graduated from the USAFA the same year, became her husband 10 days after his graduation. She was an Air Force wife for 30 years. They moved 16 times and lived overseas for 7 1/2 years. They lived in England for 5 1/2 years and Japan for 2. The most exciting events while living in England, besides the birth of their oldest two sons, was the marriage of Prince Charles and Lady Diana and the births of Prince William and Prince Harry. They also saw the Queen and Prince Charles in person. Jan is the mother of 4 children and the Granna to 9-year-old twins. They moved to Morgantown in 2009 into the home they had purchased for 3 of their college-student children. That year they had five in college... one being her husband, Tom. Their youngest son received in-state tuition in FL and stayed there.
Jan has worked in retail for the last 12 years. She’s a child of God, a daughter, a sister, a wife, mother, Granna, aunt, and friend.
Jan is a valuable member of the GLFOM Leadership Team, providing insight as needed when various situations arise. She helps with the Communion, church cleaning, financial counting and greeting card ministries.
